About Us

ExplorHome is a family-owned business founded in Ardèche, now led by Nicolas and Lou, alongside Christophe and Cécile. For several generations, the family has been designing and renovating unique living spaces, created to foster reunions and simple, precious moments shared with those who matter most. The story begins in Labatie-d’Andaure, the family’s ancestral home, with the renovation of farms steeped in history, such as the Ferme du Vallon, the Ferme de Beauregard, and the Ferme d’Édouard—the former farm of Christophe’s grandfather, now a living tribute to his family heritage. At the same time, the venture expanded into Savoie, first to Tignes and then to Albertville, focusing on high-end accommodations with a warm and authentic atmosphere.

Founded in 2020 to unite these properties under a shared vision, ExplorHome champions a human-centered approach to hospitality: offering much more than just a place to stay by creating distinctive, inspiring, and welcoming spaces that encourage guests to unwind, reconnect, and share experiences. Heritage, warmth, authenticity, and respect for the environment now serve as the guiding principles for each of these projects, the next chapter of which is unfolding with the opening of La Ferme des Vignes in Ardèche.

How do I book a Stay

Would you like to book a Stay ExplorHome? We appreciate your trust and look forward to welcoming you soon.

The booking process is designed to be simple, fast, and completely secure.

1. Find the accommodation that's right for you

  • Do you already know your Stay dates Stay Go to the website’s home page and use the search calendar. Select your check-in and check-out dates to see available accommodations.
  • Looking for inspiration? Browse our "Inspiration " section or explore our various accommodations in Tignes, Albertville, and the Ardèche to find the destination that best suits your needs.

2. Book your accommodations

Once you've selected your accommodation, click "Book" to access the booking form.

3. Complete your reservation

Follow the steps outlined on the website: information about the Stay, contact details, available options, and secure payment.

4. Receive your confirmation

Once your reservation has been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email summarizing all the details of your Stay.

What are the available check-in and check-out dates?

in Tignes: 

Studio Altura: Open year-round – reservations for a minimum of 2 nights

 

Orion Apartment: From July through August and from December through May: Reservations are only accepted for stays of at least 7 nights, from Saturday to Saturday

Other times of the year: Reservations are available for stays of 3 nights or more.

 

Les Suites du Val Claret: From July through August and from December through May: Reservations are only accepted for stays of at least 7 nights, from Saturday to Saturday

Other times of the year: Reservations are available for stays of 3 nights or more.

 

Other housing options:

From early December to early May: Stay of 7 nights; check-in and check-out on Saturdays.

‍Other times of the year: Reservations are available for stays of 3 nights or more.

 

in Ardèche: 

From early April to late September: Reservations are only accepted for stays of at least 7 nights, from Saturday to Saturday.

Outside of these periods: Reservations are available for any Stay 2 nights or more.

in Albertville: 

All year round: Stays by the night or for longer periods

Do we have to be a full group to book a private rental?

When you book accommodations, they are reserved exclusively for your group, even if you do not reach the maximum capacity.

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

For any changes or cancellations to Stay, the company will retain a €100 fee to cover administrative costs.

A percentage of the total cost of Stay retained, depending on the date of the cancellation request.

When is my reservation confirmed?

Once the deposit has been paid, your reservation is confirmed, and you will receive a confirmation email.

Payment, Insurance, and Security Deposit

What are the payment options?

First, a deposit is required at the time of booking (amounts vary depending on the type of lodging), and then the balance is due:

  • 45 days before arrival for the Pixel and Interlude apartments
  • 60 days before arrival for La Ferme d’Edouard and La Ferme des Vignes
  • 30 days before arrival for all other accommodations

Is a security deposit required?

We require a security deposit, the amount of which varies depending on the type of accommodation.

A security deposit is required for each reservation. If you booked on our website and paid by credit card, the deposit will be in the form of a credit card authorization hold, which will be automatically released upon your departure. If you booked through a platform such as Airbnb, Booking, Abritel, or Gîte de France, the terms regarding the security deposit are detailed in the Terms and Conditions associated with your reservation.

Your security deposit will be fully refunded within 7 days, provided that the accommodation is returned in good condition and thoroughly cleaned.

Is insurance included or recommended?

ExplorHome does not provide any insurance coverage related to your Stay. We therefore recommend that you verify that your home insurance includes vacation coverage, which is generally included in most comprehensive home insurance policies.

This insurance may cover you in the event of accidental damage caused to the accommodation during your Stay. You may be asked to provide proof of insurance before your arrival.

If you wish, you can also purchase supplemental travel insurance (cancellation, Stay interruption, assistance, etc.).

Finally, if you pay for ski passes with a credit card, we encourage you to check the coverage associated with your card. In most cases, only the cardholder who made the payment is eligible for the included insurance and assistance.

Before You Arrive

How do I retrieve my hosting keys?

Keys will be handed out starting at 4:00 p.m.

A member of our team will contact you to arrange the details of your arrival.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in: Keys are available starting at 4:00 p.m.

Check-out: The accommodation must be vacated by 9:00 a.m. at the latest on the morning of the day of departure. It must be left in a perfectly clean condition.

 

What should I do if I'm running late?

To ensure a smooth arrival and a personalized welcome, please let us know your arrival time as soon as possible.

During Your Stay

Is an inspection conducted upon arrival or departure?

A detailed list of accommodations can be provided upon request.

Upon arrival, we ask that you inspect the condition of the accommodation and notify us within 24 hours of any missing equipment or damaged items that do not match the property description.

This information will be taken into account during the checkout inspection. After this period, any missing items or damage found may be considered to have occurred during your Stay.

What happens when we arrive?

In Tignes and Albertville: Our apartments in Tignes are all equipped with key boxes or digital lock systems. You will receive all arrival instructions by email on the morning of your arrival. If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone.

 

In Ardèche: We prioritize a personalized welcome and do our best to be there when you arrive to show you around your accommodations and answer any questions you may have.

If, in rare cases, we are unable to be there in person, rest assured: we can still be reached by phone and will assist you remotely to ensure that your arrival goes as smoothly as possible.

To help you make the most of your Stay you arrive, we've provided some everyday essentials:

  • Shampoo, body wash, and hand soap
  • Starter kit including: multi-surface cleaner, a detergent pod, a trash bag, and a dishwasher tablet
  • Vacuum cleaner, broom, and mop

The items provided are intended to help you get your Stay off to Stay start. Depending on the length of your Stay, you may need to replenish some of these supplies.

What additional services are offered?

We also offer the following:

Are bed linens and towels provided?

Sheets are provided, and the beds are made upon your arrival. We provide bath towels (1 large and 1 small per person).

Is housekeeping included?

A daily housekeeping service may be provided upon request, subject to availability and for an additional fee (rates vary by accommodation type).

Stay cleaning is not included; it is available upon request, subject to availability, and for an additional fee (the rate varies by accommodation). In all cases, the accommodation must be returned in a perfectly clean condition.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Free Wi-Fi is available in all of our accommodations.

Is there a parking space available?

Parking policies vary by accommodation. When a parking space is included or available, this information is listed in the property description.

The following units have a parking space:

 

  • In Ardèche: All accommodations have a parking space

 

  • In Tignes: Only the Orion apartment has a parking space

During the winter, you are required to park your vehicle in a covered parking garage. You can reserve a parking space on the Tignes resort website.

In the summer, you can park in the outdoor parking lot on Avenue de la Grande Motte.

 

  • In Albertville: Only the Conflans studio has a parking space

Are pets allowed?

Our animal friends are welcome at ExplorHome!

To ensure the comfort of all our guests, we allow up to one pet per room for an additional fee:

  • Accommodations in Albertville: 55 € per Stay
  • All our other accommodations: 85 € per Stay

We ask that you be considerate of the property and the neighborhood during your Stay.

Please note: Category 1 dogs are not allowed in tourist accommodations.

Are the accommodations accessible to people with disabilities?

Accessibility varies by accommodation. Some accommodations may be better suited than others depending on your needs, but not all are specifically designed for people with disabilities.

La Ferme des Vignes features facilities adapted for people with limited mobility and is equipped with an elevator to facilitate access to the various levels. A room for people with limited mobility is located on the ground floor of the house. All facilities (swimming pool, wellness area, game room, meeting room) are also accessible.

We invite you to contact us before making your reservation to let us know about your specific needs. Our team can provide you with information about the features of each accommodation option and help you choose the one that best suits your situation.

Is baby equipment available?

We'd be delighted to welcome your little one during your Stay.

Upon request, we can provide you with various baby items: a travel crib (without sheets), a high chair, and a baby bathtub (for accommodations that do not have a bathtub).

By default, one of each item of equipment is provided per room. If you need additional equipment, please let us know before your arrival: we will make the necessary arrangements to ensure your room is fully prepared.

What kind of coffee maker is available in the accommodations?

All of our accommodations are equipped with a Senseo coffee maker (pods not included) and a drip coffee maker.

Exceptions:

At La Ferme des Vignes and La Ferme d’Edouard, we provide a Nespresso coffee maker (small capsules; not included) and a drip coffee maker.

The Vertis, Altura, and Eclipse apartments are equipped with a coffee maker compatible with all types of coffee pods (not included) as well as a drip coffee maker.

Activities and Services

How do I buy ski passes?

To help you plan your Stay complete peace of mind, we can take care of booking your ski passes. This way, you’ll enjoy special rates and find your passes waiting for you at your accommodations upon arrival. All that’s left for you to do is enjoy your Stay to the fullest.

Passes are also available for purchase at the ticket counter, at self-service kiosks, and online here.

How do I purchase the My Tignes Summer Card?

Once your reservation has been confirmed, simply contact us. We will provide you with a promotional code so you can enjoy a discounted rate when purchasing your summer pass.
